Backtracking...Our trip to Vidalia!

My entire family including myself, Craig, Maci, Camden, my mom, dad, brother Alexis, and Oliver all flew to Georgia on August 3rd. Our main reason for going was The Oaks Baptist 10 year reunion- however the trip had other great perks including seeing some great friends and showing my son and husband the town where I grew up. The kids, Craig, and I stayed with my longtime childhood friend Jessie Williams. I also got to see Robin, my gymnastics coach growing up. It was neat to see my old houses and schools and take a real life trip down memory lane. Then to top it all off I had the coolest surprise ever when I was able to meet up with Jessica McCrillis (childhood friend) and my Russian gymnastics coaches Marina and Sergey at the Cheesecake Factory in Atlanta. It was an amazing trip!!!

Weaver Family Reunion in Mississippi

Every two years the Weaver family gathers for a reunion in Louisville, Mississippi at Lake Tiak'O-Khata. This year all 9 members of my family (myself, Craig, Maci, Camden, my mom, dad, Aaron, Alexis, and baby Oliver) all packed up in two vehicles and made the 10 hour drive. We broke up the trip on the way up, stopping in Monroe Louisiana and spending the night at a hotel. We arrived at Lake Tiak'O-Khata that afternoon just in time to enjoy some swimming time! Camden loved sliding down the swirling slide. This is something I have great memories doing as a child. He even did a front flip off the high dive! Maci had fun splashing in the water. The whole family enjoyed visiting with cousins and other family members, especially our cousins from Springfield, VA. Maci did very well on her first vacation and amazingly well traveling a total of 20 hours in the car in just 4 days!

5 months old!

Maci is doing so many new things at 5 months. She is rolling both ways like a champ. Recently, after a ten hour long drive in the car she rolled over 13 times in a row both ways! She loves her bath and enjoys splashing in the water. She even got to experience her first trip to the lake and her first plane ride! Maci has now been to a total of 4 states (Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Georgia). She is such a happy baby-always smiling and so so sweet. She has tried nearly every stage 1 baby food including green beans, peas, carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, prunes, apples, bananas, and pears. Tomorrow we will try peaches. So far her favorite is DEFINITELY the pears. She gobbles those up like crazy. Just a couple days ago she has started to sit up without support for a few seconds before toppling over. In only 11 days I go back to work full time teaching third grade. Luckily I have found someone in the neighborhood to watch her that loves babies and will be great with her. I am going to miss her like crazy but I am excited to get back into my classroom and meet my new kiddos. And lets be honest, I know my wallet will be excited to finally get a full pay check!

Visit to Ft. Worth

This weekend we went to Ft. Worth for my niece's 2nd birthday party. Camden and Maci enjoyed seeing all of their cousins. Rayleigh (Camden and Maci's cousin who was having the birthday) especially loved Maci. She wanted to play with her as if she was one of her baby dolls. It was so cute! Here are some pics from the trip!

Very Smiley!

Today Maci rolled over from her back to stomach for the first time. I walked in the other room for two seconds and I missed it! Lucky for Craig he got to see it. Hopefully she will do it for me tomorrow :) She is getting a little better at eating solid foods instead of only spitting them back out at me. So far she has tried rice cereal, oatmeal, green beans, carrots, and peas. So far the only ones she has really liked is the oatmeal and carrots. I have also tried to give her apple juice but she refuses to try it. Here are plenty of smiley pictures of her. She is such a happy sweet baby!

Camden's 6th birthday party

Camden's 6th birthday party was a success! His party was held Saturday July 7th at 5:00 PM. I just haven't gotten around to posting about it yet. We had about 30 guests including friends, family, and neighbors. The kids played on a bouncy slide/pool combo and then ate hotdogs and cake. It was a lot of fun!

Maci is 4 months old!!

Maci turned 4 months old this past Sunday. She is doing so many new things like eating her feet, trying to do a sit up, and putting everything in her mouth. She had her doctor's appointment on Monday. She weighed 13 lbs. 6 and a half oz. putting her at the 45th percentile for weight. She was 24 and a half inches long putting her at the 50th percentile for height. Her head circumference had jumped to the 75th percentile, but my family has a history of big heads so I'm not worried :) The doctor wants us to try soy formula for a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of 4 to see if it helps with the spit up. If that doesn't help our next step is Alimentum formula and if that doesn't help we are off to see a GI specialist. The doctor also gave us the go ahead for solids and we have so far tried rice cereal. I have two more months at home with her, and then its back to teaching! I am hoping the clock ticks by very slow :) I am enjoying every minute with my precious girl.
